Nepal February, 2010
Friday, January 1, 2010 at 02:16PM In February, 2010 I will be traveling to Kathmandu, Nepal with the organization Acupuncture Ambassadors to set up an acupuncture clinic in a monastery. We will be doing several free clinics for anyone in need, and training some local people in the NADA protocol.
We plan on giving about 1000 treatments while we are there. I'm very excited to be able to join this organization on this trip. It will be an amazing experience for me as an acupuncturist and traveller.
Acupuncture Ambassadors is an organization that was started by my friend and colleague Anthony Giovaniello. The aim of the organization is to travel, teach, and treat with acupuncture in areas of the world where access to healthcare is minimal or non-existent. In 2008 Anthony was able to travel to Vietnam and Cambodia to do treatments. Most recently he was in Arizona working on a Navajo reservation.
If you are interested in contributing to this trip I will gladly accept boxes of acupuncture needles, alcohol swabs, cotton balls, or cash. I can be reached at 315-286-5539 or 137 Rock Island St, Gouverneur, NY 13642.
